COLD SPRING HIGHLANDS HOUSE

LOWER HUDSON VALLEY, NY

Located in Putnam County in the Hudson Valley, the Cold Spring Highlands House began as a 1990’s spec house that needed charm, texture, and some serious thought. Being a whole house renovation, the brief required us to rethink every single room, every light fixture, every piece of furniture, every bathroom - and create a space that harmonizes with the natural surroundings and the client’s favorite things.

Our client fully embraced the design process. She was open to all kinds of design elements and in fact, we incorporated many of her ideas for fabrics and textures. With her collaboration, we designed a home, composed with white oak flooring, cozy textiles, textured wallpapers, handmade tile, and painted wall panelling, that sits comfortably in the Hudson Highlands.
